Investigation on baicalin‐loaded chitosan film crosslinked by graphene oxide and its biocompatibility

چکیده

Chitosan has good biocompatibility, in vivo biodegradability and certain physiological activity, which can be used as a drug carrier to stabilise protect components, causing the promotion of absorption controlling release. Using graphene oxide (GO) cross-linking agent, functional groups its lamellar structure interact effectively with chitosan molecules, leading enhanced mechanical properties optimize controlled drug-release behaviour. GO/chitosan composite films were prepared by solution mixing method various GO content exhibit many hydrogen bonds between chitosan. There no obviously agglomerated particles surface films, observed cross section films. Differential thermal analysis (DTA) indicated that addition increased stability film. The baicalin-loaded GO/Chitosan also exhibited pH dependent release behaviour, an increasing amount rate at lower medium. In addition, result biological evaluations showed had cytocompatibility vitro histocompatibility appropriate concentrations. This investigation offered new pH-dependent potentially applied for tumour atherosclerosis treatment.

Biocompatibility of Graphene Oxide

Herein, we report the effects of graphene oxides on human fibroblast cells and mice with the aim of investigating graphene oxides' biocompatibility. The graphene oxides were prepared by the modified Hummers method and characterized by high-resolution transmission electron microscope and atomic force microscopy. The human fibroblast cells were cultured with different doses of graphene oxides for...

Graphene oxide-reinforced biodegradable genipin-cross-linked chitosan fluorescent biocomposite film and its cytocompatibility

A genipin-cross-linked chitosan/graphene oxide (GCS/GO) composite film was prepared using a solution casting method. Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) and ultraviolet-visible (UV-Vis) spectroscopy of the composite films showed that the interactions between the CS and oxygen-containing groups of GO resulted in good dispersion of the GO sheets in the CS network. The addition of GO decreased the e...

Biocompatibility of chitosan-coated iron oxide nanoparticles with osteoblast cells

BACKGROUND Bone disorders (including osteoporosis, loosening of a prosthesis, and bone infections) are of great concern to the medical community and are difficult to cure. Therapies are available to treat such diseases, but all have drawbacks and are not specifically targeted to the site of disease. Chitosan is widely used in the biomedical community, including for orthopedic applications. The ...

Thin film nanocomposite forward osmosis membrane prepared by graphene oxide embedded PSf substrate

One of the limiting factors in good performance of forward osmosis (FO) membranes is the internal concentration polarization (ICP). To reduce ICP, thin film nanocomposite forward osmosis (TFN-FO) membranes were fabricated by adding different amounts of graphene oxide (GO) nanoplates (0-1 wt. %) to polymer matrix of polysulfone (PSf) substrate. The prepared nanocomposite membranes exhibited both...
